What are tokens?
When you place an order with Hay to You, you’ll come across the term ‘tokens’. We understand that it may not be immediately clear what tokens are. Don’t worry: it’s actually very simple.
We use tokens to automatically calculate your delivery costs and any applicable discount. The more volume you combine in a single order, the more tokens you collect and the more you can save. You don’t need to do anything yourself. Each product shows how many tokens it earns, and your shopping cart automatically keeps track of your total.
How our tokens work
From 200 tokens, your order is delivered free of charge.
From 500 tokens, you get free delivery plus a 5% discount on your order.
From 1,000 tokens, you get free delivery plus a 10% discount on your order.
This way, you benefit when you order multiple products or a larger volume at once.
How do you collect tokens?
It happens automatically. Each product shows how many tokens it is worth. When you add a product to your shopping cart, the tokens are automatically added to your total. Ordering several packs of the same product? You’ll receive the tokens for each pack. You can also combine different types of hay, straw and bedding.
In your shopping cart, you can immediately see:

how many tokens you have collected;

the delivery costs for your order;

whether you qualify for a discount.
So before you check out, you know exactly where you stand. Nice and clear.
Why do we use tokens?
Hay, straw and bedding take up a lot of space. A truck, for example, may still have plenty of capacity in terms of weight, while there is no room left for any more products. That’s why at Hay to You, we don’t just look at what you order or how much you spend, but at the volume of your order. The number of tokens therefore depends on the volume of the products you order.
The more efficiently we can fill our trucks, the more efficiently we can deliver. We need to drive fewer kilometres to transport the same amount of products. This helps us keep transport costs down and reduce our impact on the environment. And we’re happy to share the benefits with you. You get free delivery and an additional discount on larger orders, while we can make our deliveries smarter and more sustainable.

Can I save tokens for my next order?
No. Tokens are not loyalty points and they do not have a monetary value. They only apply to the order currently in your shopping cart and are automatically used to calculate your delivery costs and any applicable discount. Once you have placed your order, your token balance returns to zero.
